Patrick James Solutions has continued to honour their commitment to support GNAAS after raising thousands of pounds for our charity last year.
The Appleby-based national mortgage advisory specialises in supporting blue light workers and members of the armed forces alongside members of the public.
Since 2023 the business has supported GNAAS by undertaking a 24-hour treadmill challenge every year, where staff run the distance between our two bases, which are in the North East and Cumbria.
They cover a total of 103.56 land miles (as the crow flies) which is the distance from our HQ in Eaglescliffe to our base in Langwathby, Penrith and then back again.

They’ve also held cake sales, clothing collections and hiking expeditions, and last year they attended our charity ball and golf day.
Patrick James Solutions pledged to regularly fundraise for our charity after its owner Paddy Glennon saw our service in action and witnessed our critical care team responding to a serious motorcycle collision.
Paddy said: “I witnessed the amazing pilot and medics from GNAAS a few years ago when I was one of the first people at a serious motorcycle crash. It arrived so quickly, well ahead of the other emergency services and the team got to work straight away. It left a lasting impression on me just how vital it was for the region and since then I have been a supporter.

“We’re based in Cumbria, which is largely rural and it can be difficult to get road ambulance services where they need to be in time to provide lifesaving support themselves. Everyone who lives here knows someone who has been helped by GNAAS or has seen it land at an incident. Every time I see it, I feel proud that we’ve been able to play a small part in helping to keep it in the air.”
In recognition of their support, Patrick James Solutions was awarded Corporate Partner status by our charity, which is given to businesses who raise a minimum of £5,000 in a year.
In return they receive several benefits including invites to charity events, use of our facilities and a visit to our base to see the helicopter up close.
